Frequently Asked Self-Storage Questions
Self storage allows you to create more space in your home or business. Storage units come in sizes ranging from 5×5 up to 10×30. Once you find the unit that fits your items, you can call your preferred Stor All facility or rent your unit online.
We require all tenants to hold an insurance policy for any items they have in storage. Some homeowner policies will insure items to have in storage, but in many cases, you’ll have to shop around for a separate policy to insure your items in storage. Luckily, Stor All provides tenant insurance through Xercor, if you’re looking for a storage insurance option.
You never have to worry about being locked into a long-term contract with month-to-month leases. You’re welcome to rent your unit for one month or several!
Payments can be processed by mail, in person, or through our website.
You can also set up automatic payments to be deducted from your credit or debit card. All of our facilities are equipped with a payment drop box; however, we do not recommend this for cash payments.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash, checks, and money orders. Please ask about our credit card auto-pay program!
We don’t accept checks after 30 days.
At Stor All, we strive to work with our customers to make their storage experience as convenient as possible. In an effort to ensure you don’t incur unnecessary fees, Stor All encourages all of our customers to sign up for auto-billing in-store or online.
So long as your account is in good standing, most of our facilities allow you to access your unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To find the exact access hours, please call your local Stor All facility.
If you need to make a payment or speak with a friendly member of our team, you’re welcome to stop by our office. Most of our facility offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Be sure to check your local Stor All for exact facility hours.
We do not require a notice for moving out. On the day you move out, please remove your lock from your storage unit, make sure your storage unit is broom clean, and stop by the office to let the facility manager know you’ve moved out of your unit. Full details on the vacating policy will be provided for you at the time of move-in.
Unfortunately, we do not offer moving services. However, we do offer a complimentary moving truck at move-in. For full details, call a Stor All facility nearest you. If you need a mover, our storage team is happy to recommend a reliable mover.
Storage unit prices vary based on where you live, availability, and other factors. To find the exact cost of the unit you want to rent check the facility page of your nearest Stor All location.
Storage units vary in size and the last thing anyone wants is to buy a unit that is either too big for what they want to store, or worse, too small for the items they intend to store. Before committing to a storage unit, take a look at our unit size guide. Our size guide can show you how much a storage unit can hold.
If you need a more specific answer to which storage unit is right for you, our storage calculator can recommend the right storage unit based on what you plan to store. If you prefer a more personal touch, give your local facility a call to speak with a team member for a unit size recommendation.
Absolutely! Stor All sells high-quality locks with a lifetime warranty at a discounted price, along with boxes, packing tape, and other packing supplies. All purchases over $50 qualify for a 10% discount on your purchase of moving boxes and moving supplies. Inventory may vary based on location so be sure to call the nearest Stor All facility if you’re looking for something specific.
Our largest storage units are 10×30, meaning that you could store a small car or vintage vehicle in a storage unit if needed. Vehicles like RVs, couldn’t be stored in a storage unit on account of the low ceiling clearance.
Climate control is a valuable feature for those who plan to store items that are sensitive to extreme temperature fluctuations. These units are kept at a stable temperature between 60 and 85 degrees throughout the year to prevent warping, cracking, melting, or chipping.
You cannot live in your storage unit. Not only is it against many local and federal laws, but living in a storage unit can be dangerous. You could potentially lock yourself inside where you likely wouldn’t have access to heat or air-conditioning (depending on the season) and running water.
